Be forewarned: it's getting long. And neither of us know what will come next--we're totally making it up as we go along.<BR/>My friend did the first sentence, I did the second one, and so on.<BR/><I>Once upon a time, in a far away place, there was a certain creature of the fiercest kind. Nobody could get close to it—those who did never lived to tell the tale. As the story goes, he was abandoned by his parents at birth because of his fierce temper, unearthly shrilly cries, and horrid appearances. He now inhabits his family’s decrepit mansion, hidden from the rest of the world in such a way that it could never be found, lest someone stumble upon it. He only came out on the darkest of nights, and when eery fog covered the land, in this way he hunted while still remaining undicovered by the rest of the world. The townspeople; they knew about this beast that lived in their forest. There had been stories about a creature with sharp claws, razorlike teeth, and red eyes that burn like fire. People say that the town became isolated as well--because of this fate, some of the people went insane in their hate of the beast, it was like a hobby to them. The beast himself never thought of the townspeoples hatred of him as a threat, he had worries of another kind. His worries were that of pure survival—or so everyone thought.<BR/>Supposedly there are only two types of people in the world; The good and The evil, but Ardal wasn't a person therefore was not bound by such trivial, human streryotypes. He hunted to survive and defended his home, but he was at the same time curious and, some would say, intelligent. Although he lived his life primarily in solitude, he wasn't alone. He took into his care various types of creatures--dogs, cats, horses, even the occasional bird of prey. Many of these creatures were ones he had saved from the same cruelty and disrespect that he had learned to accept as the way of the narrow-minded humans. He protected these animals, and in return, they provided companionship for Ardal, coming and going as they pleased. Ardal grew especially fond of a dog named Teresa, he trusted her with his sorriest secrets, and more importantly she was trusted to go down to the towns and report back to him about the family that had abandoned him. He had never forgotten them, and never granted them forgiveness.<BR/>He'd learned through his loyal freind that he was not the only child his parents bore, after him was a girl, a sister. His sister, Adie, never knew of her brother, nor could she ever had imagined the fate he had suffered. He couldn't understand how his parents could just abandon him, then act like having children was a brand new thing to them when Adie came. It was then that he made up his mind to meet his sister.<BR/>She had a kind heart and an innocence that comes from being shielded from the gossip of the towns, the last thing he wanted was to scare her away. He also knew that there was no chance that he would be able to go near the town, nor could he reveal himself to his parents, so he had to find a way to bring Adie to him. When Teresa would come to check up on her, Adie would give her scraps of food, she cared for her, just as Ardal did, The scruffy mongrel was the link. Ardal would use her to lure Adie to his home. There was only one other problem, he couldn't let her see him right away if he didn't want her to be terrified. Ardal looked at himself one day and compared himself to the humans--with the right disguise, he could look enough like a human to pass. As long as he kept the crimson glow of his eyes hidden, and got clothes that were familiar to the town, she might not guess his true identity. And, with darkened glasses and normal clothing, he sent Teresa out to lure the girl.<BR/>It was at midday that teresa arrived to the town, but Adie was not in any of her normal haunts, and people from the town were calling out her name.
